Back From San FranciscoWed, November 13

Betsy and I were in San Francisco on November 9 for a patient panel arranged by Intercept Pharmaceutical, one of the leading NASH drug developers. I participated in the panel along with five people suffering with NASH and/or cirrhosis. It was a first class event attended by Intercept employees and many people in town for the annual Liver Meeting sponsored by the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases. It’s a big deal meeting attend by about 10,000 people from all over the world. Our panel spoke about many aspects of living with NASH including pivotal moments in our disease, biggest challenges, the usefulness of the internet and the importance of caregivers. Nice event before a full room of 100 or so people.
